When our laughter was one, our shadows too,
and life felt full and free.
We’d open our eyes to make believe,
where time stretched on and on.
We sang a different tune
from notes that made up the same song.
A patchwork of stories, a thread of stars,
our home the walls we knew.
We watched each other grow each day,
then suddenly we grew.
Our roots will always be tangled
in the memories that we made.
Even when we’re older and the memories start to fade.
Because childhood rests between us when my siblings are together. The longest relationship I’ll ever have,
my past, and my forever."
